Direct Vent (DV)

A Direct Vent gas fireplace uses a coaxial pipe for venting of the exhaust gases and the intake of combustion air. This is opposed to a B-Vent gas fireplace which uses a single chamber pipe for exhaust gases only and uses the room's air for combustion air.
